Direct cremation is a disposition of human remains by cremation without formal viewing, visitation or ceremony with the body present.
Federal Trade Commission required disclosures: The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire; however, any cremation arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the cremation goods and services you selected.

Includes removal of the deceased from place of death and transport to crematory from the following counties: Baker, Bradford, Clay, Duval, St. Johns. Additional transportation outside the 50 mile limit will be charged at $2.50 per loaded mile
ALTERNATIVE CREMATION CONTAINER. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 20.00
Caskets are not required for direct cremation, but a container to encase
the body is required by law. You may use an alternative container for
direct cremation. Alternative containers encase the body and can be
made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials, with or
without outside coverings. The containers we use are fiberboard.
You, the purchaser, have the option of providing a cremation container
and deleting this price from our regular charges.
REFRIGERATION (ALTERNATIVE TO EMBALMING). . . . . . . . . . . $ 25.00
Embalming is not required for direct cremations.
Note: a fee of $25.00/day for refrigeration will be added after the medical examiner grants permission if the cremation process is waiting on payment from the family.

Decedents exceeding 250 pounds require special handling
--251-400 pounds, add $150 for weight
--401-600 pounds, add $300 for weight
Maximum weight is 600 pounds.
Decedents over 250 pounds require a reinformed tray.
--Trays are available at the crematory at an additional cost of $150.

Courier for handling of death certificates from start to finish is an additional $35.00.

Under FTC regulations, those who offer direct cremations must tell you that Florida State Law does not require embalming or the use of a casket.
